It can’t always be the case that we can’t cure cancer
Jodie Anne Johnson (19/10/81 - 07/03/16)
Jodie Johnson, Accounts Officer with Leicester-based firm Kazzoo IT Solutions, was diagnosed with Liver cancer in 2013. In this film she discusses her feelings at her diagnosis and her hopes for the future. Jodie was told that she had three months left to live if she didn’t receive any treatment, and a maximum of five years. She said:
“I don’t wallow in the fact there isn’t a cure, because in five years time there might be a cure, and I plan on being here, and I am working hard to make sure that I am.”
Cancer is such a massive disease – it can’t always be the case that we can’t cure it. There has got to be a stop somewhere, where we can say, “we can do this now, we can stop this”.
