Team Hope win award at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Leicestershire Business Awards!

Here at Hope Against Cancer we love being a part of our local community in Leicester. Throughout the years, we feel proud to have met and supported some incredible people. At this month’s Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, we were honoured to be recognised for our work by winning the ‘Community Impact Award’.

This is such a fantastic achievement for us and is a testament to the hard work that our small team and volunteers have done. Well done everyone!

Making a difference in Leicestershire

With our clinical trials taking place at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, we really are privileged to be right in the centre of Leicester and the community. We really believe in making Leicester a leader in cancer research but we wouldn’t be able to do that without people’s support.

Our fundraisers are beyond inspirational; everyone who supports our fundraising events or put on one of their own are just incredible people and we’re so touched by how much they do. And of course, the people we support at Hope Against Cancer are wonderful individuals who all inspire us too.

Our Chief Executive Nigel said after the Awards: “It means a lot to us to be a part of the Leicestershire community. It’s a really great feeling when we see how much support we have for our fundraising events or when people hold their own fundraising events for us. I’d like to say a special thank you to those people who show their support time and again.

A prestigious awards ceremony

Taking place at Leicester’s glamourous Athena theatre, the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Leicestershire Business Awards celebrated the successes of organisations from all across Leicestershire. It was such a great experience for us to share the night with some truly dedicated and incredible people.

To be named on the shortlist for an award at such a prestigious ceremony is an achievement in itself and we’d like to congratulate our fellow finalists, the Beaumont Shopping Centre, The Hero Project, TwentyTwenty, and Vista.

To be an award winner at such a prestigious award ceremony like this is a great honour and is a testament to the work everyone here at Hope Against Cancer does.” Nigel explained. “We’re always so grateful for the support we receive from within Leicestershire and further afield – without that support, we simply wouldn’t be able to carry out our work. Cancer affects so many of us, so being able to help those affected now and in the future makes all our hard work worthwhile.

 A final thank you

Once again, we’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who supports us here at Hope Against Cancer and a special well done to the team who work so hard making a difference in the Leicestershire community.

This award is for you and for everyone we support! Congratulations Team Hope Against Cancer.
