We're Leicestershire and Rutland's local cancer research charity.

Our focus is on beating the disease rather than managing its consequences.

We exist to help in the fight against cancer by raising funds for two vitally important activities:

  • The Hope Cancer Trials Centre in Leicester is dedicated to developing and delivering the most advanced therapies and techniques to the people of Leicestershire and Rutland.
  • We provide seed funding for cancer research projects that often grow from local projects into life-saving, breakthrough national initiatives.

In its 20 years, our charity has funded around 70 research projects and, after its opening in 2012, the Hope Cancer Trials Centre proved such an asset both to patients and the research community that, in 2019-2020, we oversaw a doubling in its capacity with a further £1.5m in funding.
